TWO MORE SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO THE LUSIKISIKI MURDER

Minister of Police Senzo Mchunu, Deputy ministers of Police, Polly Boshielo, Cassel Mathale and the National Commissioner of SAPS, General Fannie Masemola have commended the investigating team for the recent breakthrough that led to the arrest of two suspects.

The South African Police Services said it believes that the firearms they recovered were used in the murder of 18 victims in Lusikisiki.

The firearms discovered on the 17, October 2024 were 3 AK47 Automatic rifles and a 243 Steyr mannlicher rifle which are labeled as high calibre firearms. Investigations indicated that the firearms were moved to another location after the killing of eighteen people in Lusikisiki.

Two more suspects found in possession of the rifles have been arrested in Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape.The firearms have been taken for ballistic testing.
