Bafana Bafana star Thapelo Maseko has officially been unveiled as a new FC Copenhagen player.
The 21-year-old winger joins the Danish giants after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns, where he struggled to secure regular first-team football. Maseko’s move to Denmark marks a new chapter in his career as he looks to establish himself in Europe.
The Bafana star also revealed that South African football legend Sibusiso Zuma played a role in giving him insight into life at Copenhagen.
Speaking after his unveiling, Maseko described the move as a dream come true. “I am very proud of this agreement. It is a dream come true. To me, FC Copenhagen is a very special club,” said Maseko. “They are a club that is highly recognised internationally, and Sibusiso Zuma has told me so many great things about the club, the fans, and the city. I am looking forward to experiencing it all myself.”
