The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nomthetheleli Mene Handed Over 71 New Vehicles
The South African Police Services in the Eastern Cape held an official handing over of new vehicles, in the SAPS Provincial Head office, Zwelitsha, on the 9th of December 2024.

The SAPS said that in its endeavors to improve the standard of service delivery, it took a decision to increase its physical resources so as to ameliorate the services that are rendered.
“Why we are here colleagues is because it’s festive season and we need to protect our people and prevent robberies and other crime. We won’t do that without resources” Said the Deputy Provincial Major General Dladla whilst welcoming and talking about the purpose of the day. Adding he said today they will receive vehicles from the Provincial Commissioner so that they may be able to move from point A to point B and do their jobs.

Lihlombe Ncaphayi the Provincial Junior Commissioner, who is currently doing grade 9 in Simnikiwe High School said, she is grateful and excited about the new vehicles as they will be helpful, it means a lot to the communities at large.
The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Mene urged the recipients to maintain these vehicles and that they should not smoke inside the vehicles or attend their person duties with these Vehicles “These vehicles are not for groceries and visiting abo babes, i really get upset to hear complaints from the public that the stations have no vehicles” She concluded by commending the great work by the SAPS in the Eastern Cape and the positive results of the operations conducted.
