The Cape Town councillor JP Smith, said a butchery caught manufacturing sausages in an unclean condition has been shut down by the City of Cape Town and SAPS crime intelligence in the Mfuleni area.
This comes after authorities received a tip-off and launched a joint operation. Smith mentioned that the facility was used for processing and packaging sausages but was unhygienic. “While inspecting the premises on the 13 of November, 2024, authorities discovered sausages being processed and packed in unsanitary conditions, the owner and employees are suspected of being in South Africa illegally” said Smith
The facility has been declared a crime scene.
