TS Galaxy Appoints Adnan Beganovic as Head Coach After Ramovic’s Shocking Exit

TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has confirmed that Adnan Beganovic will take over as head coach following the unexpected resignation of Sead Ramovic earlier this week. Ramovic stepped down after TS Galaxy’s 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership, leaving fans and the team surprised.

In an interview on Metro FM’s Sports Night Amplified with Andile Ncube, Sukazi shared that assistant coach Beganovic will lead the team going forward. He also revealed that Vuyo Mere will assist Beganovic for now, with the club considering the possibility of adding one or two members to the technical team.

“Adnan Beganovic will stay on as the head coach, supported by Vuyo Mere. We are also looking at the potential of adding more staff if needed. It’s very humbling; I’ve received numerous unsolicited calls and CVs from interested candidates,” Sukazi said.

The chairman noted that Ramovic played a key role in selecting Beganovic as his successor. Ramovic had initially tendered his resignation after TS Galaxy’s Carling Knockout quarter-final defeat to Magesi FC last weekend.

“Sead announced his resignation on Sunday, following the match against Magesi. On Monday, we sat down to discuss the situation, and we entered the game against Stellenbosch knowing it would be his last,” Sukazi explained.

Sukazi emphasized that the coaching situation is not a crisis for TS Galaxy, highlighting the foresight in the team’s planning. “When Sead arrived, he brought two assistants with UEFA Pro Licenses. I was clear from the beginning that if we ever lost our head coach, one or both of his assistants could step up because they already know the team and the league,” he added.

With Beganovic now officially at the helm, TS Galaxy looks to navigate this transition smoothly, buoyed by strong support and preparation.
